Art is inseparable from Politics

Dr. Cornel West speaks about Art and Culture in a Social Movement.

"You can't talk about the struggle  for  of human freedom unless you talk about the different dimensions of what it is to be human. When you talk about art you are talking about meaning, you are talking about love, you are talking about resistance, you are talking about imagination, you are talking about empathy... all of these are part and parcel of what it is to talk about human freedom. So art is about those who have the courage to use bits of reality to get us to see reality and create a new reality.
In the end this is what art is all about, all of us we become artist of living. Which has to do with courage, love, justice, leaving the world better that we founded. For me art is so inseparable from politics..."
